Greg Aftayev

Greg Aftayev is a managing partner of Homestead Financial Mortgage and has been in the mortgage industry since his college years, gaining firsthand experience through a small family operation. Since co-founding Homestead in 1998, he has been dedicated to building a company where people—both clients and employees—truly matter. 

Under Greg’s leadership, Homestead Financial Mortgage has cultivated a unique culture that sets it apart from other companies. Greg believes that the Homestead employees are like our clients—fantastic human beings that he’s incredibly proud to know. He takes pride in the company’s team, viewing employees and clients alike as exceptional individuals.

Over the years, he has witnessed many team members grow professionally and personally, with their families becoming an integral part of the Homestead community. This strong sense of connection makes the transition between work and home seamless, supported by the incredible people in both aspects of his life.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, raising his two children, cooking, playing golf, watching movies, and entertaining friends.
