HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH HOMESTEAD AND WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO JOIN THE TEAM?
I joined Homestead in January of 2021. I was recommended to Homestead by a family member who has worked closely with Jayson Hardie. After learning as much as I could about the mortgage industry, I was welcomed by JR Obrecht at the Glen Carbon branch. I immediately felt that my work ethic and personality aligned with the goals of Homestead Financial Mortgage.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BUSINESS MODEL?
I focus on ensuring that every step of the home-buying process is smooth and as stress-free as possible for my clients
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR KEY TO SUCCESS AS A LOAN OFFICER?
My hardworking, energetic personality has helped me build many relationships with clients that I intend to always maintain. I believe that loan closings do not mean that doors close as well.
THROUGHOUT YOUR TIME IN LENDING, OF WHAT AREAS OF GROWTH ARE YOU THE PROUDEST?
I take pride in my supporting my borrowers. I have the same work ethic midday as I would have at 7 pm on a Friday. If someone has questions, I promise to find the answers!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW LOAN OFFICER?
Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. But make sure you prepare – the first several months are difficult because no one can prepare you for the individual circumstances you may face. However, your colleagues are your family and there will always be someone to help. Ask as many questions as possible and absorb the answers as best as possible!
WHEN YOU ARE NOT “MAKING LIVES BETTER, ONE HOME AT A TIME”, HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR FREE TIME?
I spend most of my free time exercising outdoors or at a gym. My health and nutrition are things that I am very passionate about! The rest of my time is spent with my 4-year-old Yorkie-Poo dog (Kona). I love taking her on adventures during the warm months, such as going to baseball games and swimming!
